Our Platform Powers Payments. Our Customer Support Powers Trust And Satisfaction.

When we talk about payment solutions, the first thing that usually comes to mind is technology: systems capable of handling thousands of transactions per second, robust security mechanisms, and infrastructure that’s built to be stable and scalable. And rightly so – because none of it would work without these critical elements.

But behind every technical aspect of a product or service, there are people. Engineers who obsess over the smallest details. Product teams who plan, test, and align market needs with what’s technically possible. Operations teams who make sure everything runs smoothly. These people are the true heartbeat of any tech platform, ours included.

And then there’s another team, often behind the scenes, but always there for our clients: our customer support team. They are the first voice our merchants hear when they need help and the last to let them know a problem’s been solved. They’re there during integration and testing, through every question, every update, every challenge. While technology enables, they build trust.

That’s why I’ve decided to dedicate this blog to them.

“I’ve Heard CorvusPay Has Amazing Customer Support.”

You heard right. With us, support is not just an email you send when something breaks. It is a team of dedicated people who monitor, guide and actively help merchants optimize their business. A team that understands the complexity of payment transactions and acts fast, especially when every minute can mean either a sale or a lost opportunity.

In our case, by happy coincidence, our entire customer support team currently happens to be made up of women. They are just as powerful as the tech they help bring to life and they will always greet you with a smile – just like they did when I told them I will be writing about them.

When A Smile Greets You On The Other End: Meet Ivana, Lana And Saida

Lana and Saida have both been part of our support team for over five years – long enough that not much can surprise them anymore. Ivana joined more recently, about a year and a half ago, but she is so well versed in everything that you would never guess. Saida is the team lead.

Though they deal with problems daily, after all – people call support when something goes wrong, they handle each situation with such ease and positivity that you instantly feel calmer. There is no question that can throw them off, and if they ever do not know the answer, they will go looking for it and will not stop until it is solved.

The biggest challenge they face is unpredictability. They never know what the day will bring – which system might glitch, what issue a merchant might run into, or what brand new situation might pop up. But that, they say, is the magic of the job. It is never boring. Some days they are an info desk, other days detectives, and sometimes even therapists. People occasionally vent their frustration at them, but they don’t take it personally; they know it is part of the job, and more importantly, part of being human.

Beyond helping clients, they work closely with almost every team in the company and regularly coordinate with external partners. Support is often the bridge that connects multiple sides when an issue needs resolving. Whether it is a routine task or something completely new, they are never afraid to ask questions or reach out for help.

Support During Integration: It All Begins In The Test Environment

“Before a merchant starts processing payments in the real world, they go through a test environment that fully mirrors the production one. At that stage, our team is the first line of support,” says Saida, while casually forwarding a call to Ivana as we speak. She continues: “We provide support to our clients, that is, the companies using our payment services. We offer guidance during integration when something gets stuck, assist with technical questions, verify configuration settings and flag any potential security or functionality risks.”

The transition from the test to the production environment involves a number of important steps: verifying the integration, customizing the visual appearance of the payment form, setting up notifications for both customers and merchants, configuring card parameters, and activating the point of sale. Throughout all of this, support is not just technical support, but an operational partner.

Everyday Support: Fast, Clear And Solution-Oriented

Lana explains that despite having detailed user manuals, the questions never stop. On a daily basis, the team handles queries such as:

• “The transaction was declined, but the customer claims they were charged — what now?”

• “Why is the order marked as ‘processed’ instead of ‘authorized’?”

• “How can I set up email notifications for successful purchases?”

• “Can I assign user roles per poinz of sale in the Merchant Portal?”

• “How do I test Reusable PayByLink before launching a campaign?”

• “We’re running a promotional campaign with card discounts — can you help make sure everything goes smoothly?”

“We do not just provide technical answers or clarifications,” Lana adds. “We offer guidance that directly impacts the user experience at the point of sale – and ultimately, the merchant’s business success.”

Yes – They Also Get The Unexpected Questions

“ Of course we get unexpected questions – ones that are a bit outside the box, so to speak, and some of them are genuinely funny,” says Ivana with a laugh, recalling some memorable comments they have received over the years.

“There was this gentleman who we had sent the integration documentation link several times, so he could see code examples related to the issue he was facing. After some time, he called us and said: ‘Can you give me a real human, not this Lana bot!’ – thinking some kind of AI was repeatedly sending him the same link. My teammates and I just collapsed from laughter!”

That moment showed something important: sometimes, people just want to be heard and guided. While the documentation often holds all the answers, not everyone finds it natural to search through it, and sometimes it is nearly impossible for us to explain things verbally in a way that makes immediate sense.

“I also remember a lovely woman who called in because something was bothering her. I asked if she was using WooCommerce, and she kindly replied, completely seriously: ‘No, no, we are not from Vukovar.’ Once I explained I was referring to the platform her webshop was built on, we both had a good laugh over the misunderstanding.”

Technology + People = A Complete Solution

Of course, you expect the service to run smoothly – that goes without saying.

And if you asked one of our merchants what it is like working with CorvusPay, chances are they would simply say, “Great, I’m happy,” without overthinking or going into details.

But what really stays with you is not the stable systems or the transaction speed, but the moment someone helped you when you needed it most.

Those are those situations that make a difference and build trust. And that is exactly where our customer support team plays a key role – when you need help, you do not get an automated response, but real people who know, listen and solve. So when someone asks me, “How is your customer support?”, I do not go into a long explanation. I just say: “Here’s the number – call and see for yourself.”
