How Does IBAN Payment Work?
- Customers with internet or mobile banking services in one of the three largest banks in Croatia (Erste&Steiermärkische Bank d.d., Privredna banka Zagreb d.d., Zagrebačka banka d.d.) can make IBAN payments in webshops and mobile apps.
- The payment process involves entering the IBAN and verification of the account owner’s identity – similar to internet or mobile banking payments.
- The merchant receives funds immediately if their account and the customer’s account are in the same bank, or within a few hours if they are in different banks.
